SEARCH S.E.A.R.C.H. Seeking Excellence and Reaching Challenging Heights!
I am SO excited to work this year as our K, 1st, and 2nd grade SEARCH teacher! Each week I will work with identified gifted and talented students to provide acceleration of instruction with a focus on creativity and critical thinking. I will post the unit we are currently working on and any resources that are available for students and parents. Look to the link on the left menu to see additional links for SEARCH by grade level.

The Hall County School System provides educational opportunities for gifted students identified through a process based on state guidelines. Referrals of students for consideration for services in this program may be made by teachers, counselors, administrators, parents or guardians, peers, and students. Eligibility criteria meet state requirements and are based on results from standardized tests and rating scales in the areas of mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation. The program in our system is called SEARCH – Seeking Excellence And Reaching Challenging Heights. Instruction is modified through appropriate pacing, curriculum, compacting, enrichment activities for extension of concepts and opportunities to utilize critical thinking.
Each year, Hall County provides enrichment for SEARCH students through the Summer SEARCH program. For more information about the available classes, registration, dates and times go to this link.
